Buckminster Fuller was a heavyweight inventor and visionary. We don't hear much about him because of some of his "controversial" opinions, but he was a genius. For example, he once said, "We should do away with the absolutely specious notion that everybody has to earn a living. It is a fact today that one in ten thousand of us can make a technological breakthrough capable of supporting all the rest. The youth of today are absolutely right in recognizing this nonsense of earning a living. We keep inventing jobs because of this false idea that everybody has to be employed at some kind of drudgery because, according to Malthusian Darwinian theory he must justify his right to exist.”
By this, he means that we are programmed from the beginning of our lives to be part of a rat race, working for rat captains, for a heavily-controlled and structured rat system. Just because somebody didn't go to school or contribute to the system, does not mean they can't be a great mind and asset to mankind. We spend too much time trying to earn a living that we have no time to do anything else. When we work for a corporation, our ideas are used to benefit that organization - not the greater good. Sometimes being outside of the system can do wonders to the mind and modern inventions, rather than being confined within it. This is why many of the best artists, musicians, filmmakers, inventors, and writers were all college dropouts or abandoned school altogether, to explore the world and harness their skills on their own. And because their skills were developed outside the formulas taught within the system, they became known innovators in their fields. Thus proving, that being part of the system enslaves the mind and greatly limits the imagination by enslaving it to form. Form is a burden to the mind that sees no limits. Form is a prison for the soul who sees possibilities outside the lines and wishes to test them.
Nobody should have to work 40 hours a week just to be guaranteed water, a roof over their head, and food on the table. Water should be free and a man should be free to pick food from nature. And, he should be free to build his own house on God's land with his own hands. Yet everything has been gathered and controlled by the system, turning mankind's natural birthright, which is access to the world's resources, into commodities to be bought for labor. This is slavery disguised as freedom.
