Truth Is Outside Your Borders

Did you know that only 5% of Americans have passports? And out of those, only 3% have been to countries other than Mexico or Canada. And you wonder why they call us Dumb Americans?

Get out of your 4X4s and spread out. Go see, explore, witness, and breathe other people's strife and histories. Only then will you have seen situations through the eyes of others. Only then can you identify fact from fiction. And only when, you catch glimpses of Truth outside of your borders, only then can you talk or play the role of the honest broker. Only then will you have built true compassion and understanding for your own race. Only then can you stand up and tell us what you know and what your eyes have seen.

The best philanthropists, humanitarians, activists, writers, journalists, fashion designers, history makers, sages, wise men, prophets, and conquerors, were all earth explorers. Traveling is the best education for the mind, body, and soul. People who don't travel outside of their home barriers, who have not yet ventured outside of the States...and they're in their thirties...have no business talking about world affairs, politics, or even saving the planet. Before you preach about saving Africa, go there and see exactly what needs to be done. Before you preach about peace, know the steps we need to take to get us all there. But before you even talk about peace, really know what peace means because half of the people out there tooting about it, don't even know what it really means. It's just a fashion statement or profit button.
