To All Lawyers in the State of Arizona

Dear Legal Eagles -

In 2022, I will push to have lawyers penalized and fined for taking more cases than they can handle. In other words, there will be new measures put into effect to regulate lawyers. Limits on the number of cases each lawyer in a district may handle at a given time (regardless of stage) will be set by a court of state judges appointed by the governor. The reason for this is to allow other lawyers to earn a living too. At the same time, lawyers will be forced to do more quality work for their clients instead of spreading themselves out too thin -- and delivering nothing but a disorganized mess in court. A well-prepared lawyer can make a huge difference in winning a client's case over a disorganized one. A negligent lawyer can make an innocent man look guilty, and a guilty man look like a lamb. Knowing this, all Arizona lawyers will be routinely screened and reviewed for their performance and integrity by inspectors of the state. I would also suggest the Department of Justice implement a program in cooperation with the National Bar that would conduct routine "IRS-type" audits of all their client billing, client feedback, in addition to--unannounced court room visits to make sure all lawyers are upholding the law in a way that best serves their clients -- and not a cocaine habit. Yet most importantly, anyone working in the field of law, or is a representative of the law, must honor and uphold Truth and Justice first and foremost. If there is any corruption or any conflict of interest in any job position that prevents a person from acting honorably before the law, and again -- as a representative of the law, that person will be permanently removed. There will be no mockery of the law, nor will the public bleed to feed legal greed.

And lastly, in 2022, I will make it illegal for lawyers to erase their online reviews made by real clients. This practice is unethical, deceptive and intends to mislead and misinform prospective customers. In addition, it will also be against the law for any lawyer to erect a billboard on any public highway or street. Your true worth as a lawyer will be based on your performance, dedication, integrity, and merit. And I truly believe that there is no better way for the world to know about the quality of your services than through genuine word of mouth -- by those you have already served.

In 2022, Justice will have a voice in Arizona.

Respectfully,

Suzy Kassem, future governor of Arizona
