Everybody Is Right Where They Need to Be

A tailor loses his brother to war. Both orphans, all they had in life was each other.

One day, while visiting his brother’s grave, an angel appeared before the tailor:

“Tell me, why have you been limiting yourself and your life?”

“I lost my purpose and will after losing my other half.”

“Well now you know love and now you know loss”.

But the man stammered, “But I should have been with him...”

The angel intervened, “No. You are right where you should be, just as the tree above you has the exact right amount of leaves, and every leaf is exactly where it should be.”

The man looked up and saw the tree above his brother’s grave was partly barren with a few baby branches shooting from the right. And as he moved his eyes to the right, he saw a procession of black cars departing. Then further to the right, next to a tombstone covered in white lilies, there was a mesmerizing woman standing aloof at the center of a congregation of mourners...muttering and cursing about missing a button.
