The Frank Serpico Award in Ethical Policing

CC: To All Arizona Law Enforcement Officers (ALL RANKS) and the Police Lobby

Dear Fellow Patriots and Protectors of Arizona -

This is Suzy Kassem, the future governor of Arizona.

I am putting the word on the street now that there is going to be a new era in public policing that will immediately go into effect as soon as I get seated in 2022. There will be new methods and measures of monitoring and managing the police force without me ever having to leave my desk.

Starting today until the end of 2022, all law enforcement agents (all ranks) will be observed by their peers for behavior that violates their oaths to uphold the law. This means honoring the civil rights of all constituents that fall under our state. Acting when it is appropriate to act. Intervening, investigating, following-up, and SERVING every human being without discrimination or bias. Under no circumstance are you allowed to lie about a case to anyone -- or to a judge in court. There are to be no bribes, acts of intimidation, threats, or any harassment ever to come to ANYONE for being an ethical officer. The rules are going to change. Every time you report a crooked cadet or captain, you will never have to fear retaliation because I will have them promptly replaced for misconduct.

For the first year as Governor, I am giving up my entire salary as a public servant to offer TWENTY awards in the amount of $10,000 CASH + a bonus 4 weeks PAID vacation to the most honorable and admirable officers in the state of Arizona each year. My salary will pay for half, and prominent  businesses around the community will contribute the other half to reward and recognize hero-worthy officers. The Frank Serpico Award in Ethical Policing is named after a prominent NY detective who exposed a culture of bribery and corruption within the NYPD.

What qualifies one to worthy of the award? Stand up for what is right even if you stand alone. Report misconduct immediately, even if it is your superior. With peer-to-peer policing put into effect, I've now put human security cameras inside every precinct across the state.

In addition to all this, there is also going to be a new kind of honor brought the world of policing. I do believe that people who are willing to defend others with their own lives deserve to be appreciated - and honored. For this reason, there will be a large recreation facility (with everything to keep your children and families happy and occupied) created to serve you - just for serving US.

This new facility will be exclusively made for all members of the military, law enforcement, national guard, border security officers, even prosecutors -- anybody working diligently for the LAW.

You see, I understand that the world of 'law and order' has a world of its own. It has its own risks, its own shortcomings, its long hours, and many "misunderstandings" with the general public. With a brand new social club, above and beyond what is done nowadays for veterans, there will never be a problem with parents without partners, or people ever feeling alienated by their experiences, special lifestyle, dedication, area of expertise, or the demands of their jobs. At a social club, you and your children will feel very at home with other families sharing the same path and journey in life as you.

Best of all, to the children of protectors of Arizona, they would see an exclusive 'state of the art facility' built for their parents -- as a symbol of honor and privilege -- for their service.

I do intend to initiate such a project to thank our loyal state guardians and protectors of truth and justice. Again, if they are not taken care of, none of us will ever be.

Graciously, and with great RESPECT,

Suzy Kassem, future Governor of Arizona
