Stay an Original Work of Art, Not an Imitation

In this short lifetime,
Why not be --
True to your own voice,
Your own story,
Your own truths,
Your own style,
Beat and drum --
Instead of reflect the words,
Songs and march of another?
Why not use your soul's own
Unique language,
Instead of constantly try to toot something
Not true, suitable or intended
For your own instrument,
Or story?

Why create an image you cannot produce?
And if you can create a brilliant mask,
How long will you really be able to hide your true soul
Behind it
Until its colors and plastic
Begin to fade and melt with

Do not speak about truth when there is no truth in you.
Do not speak about being yourself when you are trying hard to be someone else.
Do not keep crying about your pain when you you have no shame creating pain in others.
Do not step on truth, or someone else's truth, or someone who fights for truth --
And think there will be no repercussions;
For there is more danger in silence,
And for every action there will always be a reaction
Of opposite or equal measure.

Treasure integrity,
Treasure your own story and truths.
How will people remember you when you want to be an imitation?
How will people remember your voice when you want to sound like another?
Be so different that everybody will remember you.
Be yourself because an original is worth more than a copy.
Be true to yourself or your heart will never forgive you;
For once you silence the music from your own instrument,
Your true purpose and intended path will begin to fade.
There is no greater crime
Than ignoring your conscience
And the truths intended
For you to live, learn,
And share.
to YOU
In everything
You do.
That itself is the purest
And truest

I have no intention of ever turning myself into a machine to sell anything. It is not in me to do so. This is why I do not have a Twitter or Instagram page. But just because I do not partake in the rat race, whore myself, or have time to tell you what I am having for breakfast -- does not mean I am dormant. I am a serious thinker and writer. I am actively writing and stacking up collections night and day. Go see the copyright offices in the U.S and Egypt. I take intellectual property very seriously. Do not try to create a living by paraphrasing my words and think nobody is noticing. Everything is being documented. Plagiarized works found on Twitter or Instagram are sent to us every day -- and I encourage everyone to follow suit. Do not rearrange my work and ideas and then change a title and think you have artistic integrity. A poet recognizes the language and essence of their soul's song no matter how one tries to flip their words. I make examples of those who step on Truth and dare to steal from those fighting for truth. If I have not come for you yet, does not mean I will not.

There is a book coming out soon called:
Copyright Infringement and Paraphrasing in the Digital Age - The Master Works of Suzy Kassem

And believe it or not, many of the poets the New York Times calls great poets are in it. If you have tried to backdate or flip things around with me, there is a prison is Egypt waiting for you and I will have you tried in two countries. Ain Shams owns all my masters since '93, and right now there is a particular publishing company that has been pushing a couple of poets lately that have all been blatantly plagiarizing my work. Do your homework and you will see where the sun and amber stars lead you. I have 5 books coming out in the next three years. You will recognize the songs and language of the original, for I will shame them all.

If you lack artistic integrity, you have no truth. And if you have no truth in you, I have no respect or feeling for you. If I do not receive a public apology from those stealing from my work, I will publicly humiliate them and all the media organizations that have supported them will fall from grace. If you do not believe me, do nothing. The job that pays my bills is writing speeches for presidents and presidential candidates. This means, I am dangerously intelligent and connected.

Truth always rises with time.

We must all work in harmony with each other to stand up for what is right, to speak up for what is fair, and to always voice any corrections so that the ignorant become informed and justice is never ignored. Every time a person allows an act of ignorance to happen, they delay our progress for true change. Every person, molecule and thing matters. We become responsible for the actions of others the instant we become conscious of what they are doing wrong and fail to remind them of what is right. - SK
